Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu (1814–1873) has one book in the BigBookHub catalogue: Carmilla.
Le Fanu crafted the vampire story a generation before Dracula, and his novella's psychological subtlety—told through letters and the perspective of a woman slowly succumbing to predatory seduction—makes it more unsettling than its louder successors.
